    The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

I did Bountiful last night on the 125. Tuttle loop is closed and so are the gates to Sessions and Farmington. There's a little snow on the leeward sides but the trails are dry. Maybe let's go ride somewhere closer like Knolls or I'd really like to do Wendover, I have the enduro on GPS and it...

    Project $1.25: A Honda CR.

They're just folding levers, so they don't bend as easy. In conjuction with running Teflon tape under the lever mounts on the bar (and not running the mounts very tight). That way the levers can rotate on the bars and levers fold so hopefully you can avoid breakage.

    Project $1.25: A Honda CR.

Next. I de-stickered the bike: cleaned and polished up all the plastic and de-greased the chain and sprockets: which actually looks like pretty new Primary Drive brand stuff. The bike had a broken rear brake caliper bracket, broken in half, he said he was riding and hit the rear brake and it...

    Project $1.25: A Honda CR.

Yeah, polishing rough aluminum is a pain. It was kinda nice when I got to the methodical part with the buffer, but not so nice I'd do it very often... I'm not the least bit worried about the inside. The motor and carb was spotless on the outside and you can see the brand gaskets poking out...

    Project $1.25: A Honda CR.

Have you ever asked yourself, "What was I thinking?!" Well here's another project bike build: 1999 Honda CR125r A Dirty, Broken, One wheeled pile: With potential! ...My wife laughed at me a little when I brought this home. I've always been curious about small bore stuff and the...

Help needed on getting 86 YZ250 running

Have you put a compression tester on it? How many PSI are you getting. Pull the plug and see if you're getting a nice blue spark not a weak yellow one. Make sure your gap is good. Check your timing and clean your carb really really good. Soak all the brass jets in amonia and spray out all the...

Anyone here spent much time on a KX 450?

I rode James' 11 a few times. Makes good power. The ergos are way different than Yamahas, but not in a bad way.

    #yamaproblems : a rebuild thread

So I took my friend out riding and he smashed a peg. No problem I thought; I've got a few sets of pegs laying around from my old pitbike. So I drilled out the pivot hole to fit the YZ and installed it. Well fast forward to the next Saturday: and he clipped a rock on the same side.... I guess...

    #yamaproblems : a rebuild thread

Thanks! It had a brand new Tusk Impact rim and a new STI paddle... Which I sold to offset the cost of the bike. But it did have the stock rim with a junk tire on it though, so I swapped a nearly new 19" knobby on that I had left over from when I had my YZ450f. Also at some point in this...

    #yamaproblems : a rebuild thread

I had the carb ultrasonically cleaned which is a great investment of $30 or so because it comes back super clean and since it's just water it doesn't usually require you to replace any seals or gaskets. Drained the old gas and polished the plastics with a little cheapy electric automotive...

    #yamaproblems : a rebuild thread

Thanks! So first things first. The bike came with ASV levers: which I love because they are easy to bend back to straight (this one needed it for example) and it needed a rebuild kit. At $14 from ASV a rebuild kit comes with new bearings, brass pivots, springs and bolts. The front brake...

    #yamaproblems : a rebuild thread

YamaProblems2 #YamaProblems2 Well a while ago I picked up ANOTHER Yamaha. This one I've kept and had my friends ride 4ish times so it seems to be a good fit as a loaner. It's a little too much power for most to learn on but oh well... It started as a pretty stock-ish 2004 YZ250 with a bald...

    KTM 300 Database

Tyson, that rocks! How was jetting? I thought everyone (including that dude from Mesquite) was complaining about the new carb and fuel mileage sucking. It sounds like maybe that was just talk, I'm excited to see how you like racing it this weekend.

    What car/truck/any have good horns?

Hella Supertones. Hands Down. It's how a Rally car says, "MOVE!" Hella Sharptones are good too. They're both crazy loud. like 118db. There are a few knockoffs on ebay or Amazon that are decent. But when it comes to knock offs pay for the best.... of the fakes... We put some 80's caddy ones...
