Is it ok to have a "make light of" thread?

After you factor in labor? I believe. He sure as **** didn't do all that himself.

I am having a moral dilemma

    a) No, that's not the entire reason you swore off Taco Bell, you already acknowledged that Del Taco is the better restaurant for a couple other reasons. You just need to decide whether they're better enough to avoid swearing them off too. And the answer is no, because... b) Taco Time is way...

    Automotive electrical connector tech: TOD

Outfits like Grainger have a lot of that stuff. Costs a little more but it's nice to be able to drive down and pick it up the day I need it. I'm guilty of ordering same-day or next-day off Amazon, too.

Tool storage while on the trail

Drawers. I've got one drawer dedicated to tools and recovery gear. My hand tools are in a Bucket Boss tool roll, bigger stuff is just kinda crammed in there loose right now. I'm working on another drawer setup to replace these that'll have more room, and those will be better organized.

    Work screw ups...

Hoses are legit, anyway. Do those get replaced on suspicion now or do you just run 'em?

    Have a Multimeter you love?

The AC dynamically altering the magnetic field is how it can read the voltage. That's trickier with DC.

If you flap it, you gotta flap it twice. Once with a dirty flap disc, and then again with a "clean" one. But I normally just burn it off with muriatic acid, if the part is small enough to immerse. Or I just wait for a calm day and weld it outside.

It all goes real well with the peeling clearcoat on the turbo hood.

Weller is the name that come to mind. That's what everything on the shelf at Radio Shack used to be, anyway.

Can we talk about Deutsch vs Weatherpak? I'm ready to throw out all my cheap knockoff connectors, but I don't know enough to know what to replace them with.

    Have a Multimeter you love?

I went from the Harbor Freight stuff to a Klein from Lowes. Big improvement, I just wish it didn't boot in AC mode every time.

I've gone back and forth on soldering connections. My first stereo install was with wire nuts, and that was dumb. I graduated to crimp butt connections, which are easy and so I just did that for a while. Then I started worrying about doing it "right" and started soldering the old fashioned...

Wasn't an accident. He did that on purpose.

    I hate Classifieds Lowballers...

    97% chance that's a stolen bike anyway.

@Coco talked me into a set of Toyo AT3s several years ago and I've been running them ever since. I had a set on the F150, the Excursion, and the wife's 4Runner. Best AT tire I've found. Great in the snow.

You didn't like them? I keep seeing glowing reviews for the Falken AT4s.

Affordable welding helmet I can actually see with

I have an inexpensive Lincoln of some sort. It was a VAST improvement over the older HF hat that it replaced, I had the same problem Dave has with the old one. With the Lincoln I can see the puddle much better, but I still can't see my work, I kinda have to just guess if I'm welding where I...
