Trip Report An Adventure in Death Valley and New Years in NAPA

DAY 0 For the 3rd year in a row my wife Norelle and I headed out on our annual camping trip between Christmas and New Years. This is always a special trip for us because we typically only have time to do weekend or long weekend camping trips so we love the opportunity to take a week long one...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

I am so thankful for the jobs that my wife and I have. My job does profit sharing every year that ends up putting an amount equal to around 10% of my salary into my 401k and my wife works for the U where they automatically put an amount equal to 14% of her salary into her retirement account. At...

Other Region Death Valley over Winter?

Funny that you updated this thread (and aren't going). Saturday my wife and I decided that we are going to head for Death Valley Dec. 26th thru New Years Day. We have never been so if anybody has any suggestions on sites to see, roads to drive or places to camp I would love to hear them. We will...

    Tesla Truck (Cybertruck)

It has an adjustable air suspension so I'm assuming it is in some sort of squat mode to make loading and unloading easier.

Jeep Replacing Pinion Yoke on XJ 8.25

Thanks for the input everybody. Just ordered this u-bolt yoke. https://www.ironrockoffroad.com/product/chrysler-825-u-bolt-yoke-kit.html I will see how just tightening the nut down on the current crush sleeve goes and hope for the best. I guess worse case scenario I destroy the diff internals...

Jeep Replacing Pinion Yoke on XJ 8.25

The U-joint at the pinion yoke on my XJ's rear axle failed and the pinion yoke got some nasty wear. The keeper tab for the U-joint is completely gone on one side. Is there a way that I can replace the yoke without messing with preload and all that fun diff stuff? I have no experience messing...

    Wanted 255/75R17 BFG KM

Anybody happen to have any 255/75R17 BFG KM's (stock JK Rubicon tires) they are looking to get rid of? I killed the sidewall on one of mine in Sand Hollow last weekend and am looking for a replacement. Preferably less than 5 or 6 years old so I feel safe running it on the highway. I only need...

Wire harnesses is a big part of my job (I design them, I don't build them). We use a mix of expandable braided sleeving similar to what @Gawynz linked but we also use a lot of slit sleeving similar to...

Jeep Advice on tires and wheels for the XJ

I only drove in snow 2 or 3 times so don't have a lot to say but I was happy with how the tires performed in those few instances.

    There goes the neighborhood...

Yeah. My understanding is they are doing it to bring the parks in line with local laws since the state of Utah allows OHVs on their roads.

    There goes the neighborhood...

The thing is a lot of National Parks have remote areas that aren't popular where you can get away from people. This is going to ruin that. I also can't imagine what this will do to already overcrowded and crazy parking lots in the popular areas.
