I went a long time on a hardtail fatbike running mostly 29+. It's fun being underbiked. Then I got the Trance X which is 150/130, and I discovered it's fun to be overbiked too.
I'm starting to suspect that mountain bikes are just fun.
This. Watched @bryson finish off a ghost town tour with a set of vice grips on a brake line. First thing I did when I got home was throw a pair in my truck bag.
I rode a Ripley. It's been a couple years now so maybe they've gotten better but I wasn't impressed. Lots of pedal bob, and whatever tire that was on front did not like to stick. I found the Orbea Occam and Giant Trance X to be much better climbing and descending. Ended up on the Trance...
