Build your own flatbed or toolboxes. It is a welding rig after all! ;)

Do it all Tow Rig/Work Truck

I agree with a lot of what's been said. Wait for your income to go up to pay for the truck you actually want for a welding rig. And then I'd get another car to be the family hauler. Much better to have a dedicated work rig that doesn't have to do double duty and the smaller cabs sell for quite a...

JL or Bronco purchase in near future.

I have purchased several vehicles out of state but never shipped them. Each time I have given them my home address and they didn't charge me tax since the address was not in the state where I purchased the vehicle. I did pay a small registration fee to get a temp tag so I could drive it home...

    Price Wheelin over Labor Day?

Should be a half day job if everything goes well. On the passenger side anyway, I can't speak for the driver side. Pull the wheel and fender liner (@#$@%^ plastic christmas tree push connectors!), undo all the electrical connections in the way and the hoses, remove the oil line bolts (have to...

    Price Wheelin over Labor Day?

I just did mine. I had to remove the turbo 3 times. The obvious first time, then because I broke the oil drain bolt, and then because that bolt hole stripped after I got a new bolt. Good luck! Take the starter out and don't get the parts from the dealer.

    Towing doubles. Who’s done it?

 That's amazing. Especially the part where the boat is hitched to the golf cart.

    All things Camp Trailer

If the engine is running and charging the batteries, the solar will back off because the charge controller senses the higher battery voltage and thinks that the batteries are charged. I wouldn't worry about a relay on the ignition, the chargers are smart enough that they will work together...

What books are you reading (or listening to?)

The movie isn't bad, but as usual, the book is way better.

    All things Camp Trailer

+ one more for solar. I have installed it on several trailers. Even one 100w panel and a charge controller from amazon will be amazing. I wouldn't put more than 200w unless you are going really big with the batteries or always parked in the shade. Usually the easiest way to get the wires in is...

    Massimo 12v fridge

I have the smaller (23 quart) version of that one. It's been awesome, except after I dropped it while trying to load it in the car. Now it makes a rattling noise when it's running, but still been running fine for a year. The noise goes away if I tip it up slightly on one side. Really happy with...

    Tucson AZ Thought?

I'm halfway between all of those. It's pretty nice here. :D Can't comment on Tucson though, I haven't been there in 20 years. However, comparing it to Phoenix isn't really fair. It is an hour and 45 min away, ~1500' higher elevation and 1/5 the population (metro area). The weather is a bit...

    Anyone into 3D printing?

It's not 3d printed, but we used one of these for that purpose when my kids were small. https://www.homedepot.com/p/First-Watch-Security-Satin-Nickel-Flip-Door-Lock-1840-SN/202799699?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&srsltid=AfmBOopwDa9bd55uyHSuTs44O62zkBjqA7dI1GmdlTpDzueqtFtO_Rgm2q0#overlay

    Proud father moments

Finally got all the roofs finished. My kids did the whole garage with only a little direction from me (except the ridge shingles, I did those, they are a pain!). No picture of my son on the finished product, but I do have him in this one partway through. They're still teenagers with all...
