X2 I had a Coleman tent once. They are fine for nice summer nights if the weather is beautiful, otherwise they are junk. I own 3 springbars now and never worry about the weather.

Cutting oil will help also. Edit: I read your post again and noticed you used "lube". I'm sure you know, but WD40 type products are not good for cutting. I like the foaming type cutting fluid myself.
