They’re actually not as plush as I thought they would be, and they are less durable than others, but generally my grips don’t rub against rocks much. My current grips have a few chunks out of them, but they don’t look too bad. I imagine they’re probably good for a couple seasons of abuse. IMO...
A few other unpopular random points to consider, purely my own experience:
Aluminum over carbon in both frame and wheels. Weight penalty isn't worth the $, I'm not hardcore enough to notice the stiffness difference, and the durability of aluminum is peace of mind (I'm currently riding carbon)
I...
Not much advice... I have a lot of opinions, but they're probably not worth much, I haven't totally bought in to the new school geo. Steep STA still feels strange to me even after I've ridden a few trails on them. I still like shorter chainstays for maneuverability, and 65-67* HTA seems just...
What is that? Windshield looks like it could be a C5 Corvette?
edit: googling confirms https://www.autoblog.com/2020/05/01/c5-corvette-dune-buggy-for-sale/
YES! This is not a bad option... however, it would be nice to have another car for bad weather days. I'm planning on the Goblin being a 70% daily driver. On days I drive out to the goose I'd take the beater.
The more I think about the lifted crown vic, the more I like the idea. I love the idea...
I recently picked up a benchmade bugout. I've never really carried a knife, so this was more an experiment to see if I found it useful. Apparently I have because it's time to sharpen... I was planning to pickup this Worksharp, but the bugout came with a warning label to not sharpen with a belt...
I work in a rural area of Southern Utah, and find myself driving out to Gooseberry Mesa or Little Creek Mesa, and around the community a couple times per week. Current car is a Honda Civic, but it has been taking a beating lately, and I've owned it for 18 months, so it's time for something...
That turned out AMAZING! You might as well join half of the wasatch front that came down to StG this weekend and go on some rides down here before it gets too hot!
For 20” bikes we went with the Trailcraft Bluesky. Nice bikes, probably overpriced, but they had a heavy discount over the holidays. The Woom 4 Off was my next choice, but I wanted to mix it up since we had the Woom 3.
Yes, I do! Both have been hanging out in my garage waiting for me to clean up and list for sale. I’m in St George, let’s figure out how to get it up there.
If you are considering used I’d let my 2017 Giant Trance 2 go for a great price. Haven’t listed it anywhere yet. it needs a new rear wheel sooner or later, but otherwise good condition. All slx components.
 It is definitely cooler. Your projects may not always make financial sense, but they are always way more interesting than any mass produced product.
Speaking of projects, where are the 5010 updates?

You're so strong that you broke your chain: That's a hard no. Your chain didn't break because you're really strong, even if you actually are. Wipperman, a European chain manufacturer, did a test of 10-speed chains...
GRAMA request that, should be public info with names etc redacted. Request expedited and they have to get it to you in 5 days 🙄
