    Dolores River crossing fail

From what I've gathered it's still there... They're working on recovering it soon, once the river slows down and it's safer and more feasible to do so.

    Dolores River crossing fail

I'm kinda shocked right now haha... So this post initially caught my eye because I grew up in the Southwest corner of Colorado and my family, friends, and I frequently rode dirt bikes or drove jeeps/trucks to and played around in/near the Dolores River. Imagine my surprise when I opened...

    Van conversation

Looking great! What about something like this, hinged at the rear corner but during transit is pinned at the hitch. Go to ~1:03 of this video: Also, here is the short article on the same van...

Trip Report Price UT - May 18-19, 2019

Great pictures, thanks for the update. Looks like an awesome time and a fun crew/set of rigs. I'm just going to sit here behind my keyboard and sulk for a while... definitely jealous. Next time!

Delta Classic 2019- Who is going to be there?

Even more of a reason why I shouldn't go, I need to stay home long enough to put the dang thing back together. Competing does sound like a ton of fun though.

Delta Classic 2019- Who is going to be there?

Still deciding if I'm going to go watch or not. I've never been and I'd like to check it out, but I've been traveling for the past 3 weekends straight, just staying home and working around the house is pretty appealing... Anyways, it took me a while to find the schedule but I found it on...

    Van conversation

I own a 2017 Ford Transit 350 that I use to shuttle coworkers back and forth to work and I love the thing. I drove the EcoBoost and I'd rather have that but I couldn't justify the cost for just a people mover. This thread has me thinking the same thing as @LJTim, trade in my van for the...

Carnage Canyon - Buena Vista CO

@aedavis, cool video, looks like a very technical trail. I hadn't heard of Penrose either, is there a lot of wheeling there?

Carnage Canyon - Buena Vista CO

Has anyone ever ran this trail? Stumbled across it online and it looks like a good time. Kind of reminds me of Coyote Canyon or something along those lines, short but technical. Are there additional trails around this area that'd make it worth a long weekend trip?

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

After I posted I just had this thought... if I didn't triangulate my lowers I could eliminate the rear steer. The angles between the two lower links in the X-Y plane would match so the axle would move forward and back equally on both the driver and passenger side. As I explained earlier...

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

Thanks @RockChucker and @Herzog, I agree with both of these comments. Based on everything I've read and seen my links are very short, lowers are 26.5" and uppers are 20.5". From what I understand, link length contributes to rear steer more so when the links have a high amount of angle at...

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

I got tired of having to go down into the basement every time I had to take a piss so I took a break from the buggy and finished the remodel on my upstairs bathroom. I spent a lot of time this weekend working on the buggy; a lot of measuring, checking, making tabs, mocking stuff up, cycling...

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

That's awesome. Once I got the thing home I got to looking it over and I really just wanted to keep it but I don't think my brother would have taken that too well ha. The guys I bought it from had quite the collection of rigs, it was fun just looking them over and talking with them for a bit...

Agreed, the Swag table is super handy. This is the first time I've used it on relatively thick plate and I was very happy with it. Axles are 5.38

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

Back to the buggy... Last night I got around to cleaning up the axle and start setting up the lower links. Tabs are made from 3/8" plate; started with cardboard templates then using the SWAG Offroad Portaband Table cut them out of plate. Should be able to get the 45deg I was targeting out of...

    Gawynz Buggy Thread

Didn't have any time to work on the buggy this weekend as I had family in town; on that note, a quick detour. My brother is rebuilding my Grandpa's Willys; not a show car or anything but just a fun rig to drive around town, canyons, and mountain roads. He's rebuilt the motor, transmission...
