Factory 4.88 gears, 14.24” diameter ring gear, 2 1/4” pinion shaft, axle spline OD of 1.85”, lockable, formed steel housing…that’ll do.     The rear drive shaft is fairly close to its safe spline engagement limits with the current suspension setup. Be sure to pull the boot and check that after your modifications.

    Good to hear that the rig has been enjoyable for you despite some of my suspension misconceptions. Also good to see the continuation of the experiment. I'm interested in the results, as i am currently working on a bigger 5-seater that will use the same suspension concept.

    Reverse rotation dana 60 3.73 ring and pinion

    Used, came out of a 2005 f350 front axle. Looks to be in good shape. Worthless to me but I figured I would see if this is of use to anyone before I throw it away.
