He needs to learn how to adjust his spray gun and the paint was probably not properly reduced. I don't think it will just sand out without starting over. Not enough CFM and the paint won't atomize properly either. Bummer to do all that work and have it be like that but props for trying it...

We do everyday but when customers start prepping it on their own I have to double the price ;) :)
