    NJ Drone swarms

Are robots really cheaper or more efficient than telemetry?? SCADA isn't that hard to install and then no one has to collect these numbers, it's all in whatever computer you want it to be.

A tale of two (Ducati) Monsters

Regarding the concern of the chain rubbing the swingarm guard, I wouldn't worry about it. The ATK is way worse than that and it's fine. I will have to get a picture.

    Small kids ATV advice needed

If you are looking at electric, I can recommend Mototec stuff. I got my daughter the 48v 1600w one (about the size of a ttr 90, so you would be looking at a smaller one) and she has been riding it weekly for over a year with no issues...

Affordable welding helmet I can actually see with

I mentioned it in the other thread, but I really like my Razor Weld rw8000x and the 7000 as well. I picked them up at the local welding shop. I was going to get something online, but I felt a lot more comfortable getting a lesser known brand from the local welding supply place rather than...

    2019 KTM 450

This is the truth of the modern 4 stroke race bike. It's made to race. If you are planning to trail ride I would recommend a non race bike that only revs to ~8k. Much less maintenance and a more user friendly riding experience. Air cooled 4 strokes come to mind, along with some 2 strokes. For...

Mental health: it’s ok to talk.

I went through something similar in 2021. Actually, I went through what you're describing from 2019-2021. I started the best job I've ever had in 2011, with a .gov water district. I loved the work I was doing and the people I worked with. I worked there on and off for a couple of years as a...

A tale of two (Ducati) Monsters

I'm so excited for this build! It looks awesome. So no custom swingarm needed using the Hyper frame?

    Your Pic of The Day

I was in Mesa on Saturday and it was 100 degrees. 4 days later it was 27 degrees at my house (70 miles apart). Your chickens aren't the only ones.

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

Much easier. We used HDPE so I just lowered it all in by hand. That's how it came apart. 21' actually... ;)

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Bought a truck 6 months ago, driving it home we got into some snow so we drove ~20 miles in 4 wheel drive until it started making noise and shaking. Haven't had time to look at it until now. Apparently the r&p don't like being used without any gear oil.

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

Made some tools and pulled my well pump out. 190' of 1" galvanized pipe. Replaced the pump and put HDPE pipe in.

    Your Pic of The Day

Was up at one of my offices late the other night and took this of my town. Up at another one of my offices. Went on a tour of an old drag racer's shop the other day.

    6.0 powerstroke rebuild.

You aren't expecting too much of people, the rest of the world just doesn't expect enough. I would tell the insurance the shop didn't fix everything properly and take it to a different shop.

    All things Camp Trailer

This is what I typically see as well. But only when the batteries are discharged. When they are charged, or the sun is at an angle, or there is a tiny corner of a panel shaded or they are dirty it drops down.

    Bug-Out vehicle prep

On the topic of fuel storage, we always fuel up at half a tank (except on road trips). If we need to evacuate I don't want to have to wait in line at the gas station first. Solves the rotation and storage problem somewhat. I still have (up to) 20 gallons of ethanol free in cans depending on how...

    Get your dumpsters here!

@jeeper What year is your truck? My work truck is a '23 f350 SRW powerstroke and I drive it in tow haul always (it does have a service body, but I don't have it loaded very heavy). I haven't noticed any bad shifting manners. Maybe you have lower axle gears than me? I could see that causing...

    Dealing with sleezy mechanics

Sorry, I don't have anything more useful to add. Like you, this is the reason that I usually suck it up and do my own work, even though I hate it.
