12x20x1 furnace filter?

cant find a dang place that carries the 12x20x1 furnace filter. Ive been to lows, home depot, smiths, and walmart and knowone carries it. The landlord wont let us modify the opening for a smaller or larger filter so does anyone know where I can get a new 12x20x1 furnace filter so my kid quits getting sick?

If you're renting, I'd pull it out and tell the landlord you need a new one. Of course I've never rented so I don't know if that's kosher I would think if he wanted to keep his furnace running well, he'd get you a new one

EDIT: You can also buy the cut to size pads.

ive been able to find one easily at any of the places ive checked but that was 6 months ago and now none of them have them stocked. The landlord lady said that they are our responsiblility to replace so she wont replace them but I will check into those cut to fit pads thank you.
