14 Bolt or Dana 70??????

I'm thinking about putting one of these in my current buggy I'm building, what I need is some real world advise on which would be better and why. benifits and drawbacks to both, thanks in advance.

Detroits are cheaper for the 14 bolt

Whichever you find cheaper/free-er.

The D70 has a better selection of gears/lockers, the 14B has the benefit of being everywhere. You aren't likely to break either one, so go with whatever. :greg:

With a simple change of hubs, you can change the width of a 14 Bolt & make it not-so wide. 64" WMS, IIRC.

Or you could get a dana 70 u and not have to shave it and have a 65inch wms by doing nothing:greg:
