14 bolt yoke w/ubolts

So I replaced my yoke with the ubolt style yoke on my 14 bolt ff and noticed that my ujoint had some moment so I figured it was just a crappy cheap ujoint that the driveline put in it. So tonight I replaced it with a spicer 1350 joint and still have the same slop. Anyone else have this issue when switching from the strap yoke?

are you sure you dont have 1330 joint and a 1350 yoke

Good one, never thought of that. I have a 1330 offset 1350 ujoint so I will use that to make sure its a 1350. I guess I may have a 1350 joint but a 1410 yoke? How much different is a 1410?

1410 is a lot bigger. I used to know the measurements but ya.....

The cap fits snug,it just moves side to side a few mm. Thinking I could bend the ears in a bit at the end of the joint. Only thing I am not sure of is if this will throw the center line off making it vibrate?

Yeah, bad idea. Those ears are cast and will snap, plus its just going to be a problem down the road.

Bet you have a 1410 yoke. I would just get a 1350 yoke and be done with it. There isnt a 1350/1410 joint that I am aware of

Oh, and if you want I have a spare yoke that is in pretty ragged shape if you want to try it out. At least you can confirm with it and then get a new yoke.
