1974 VW bus???

hey my buddy just bought an old beat up 1974 VW bus, and im helping him rebuild it, i was wondering if anyone on here knows anything about the engines and its electrical wiring.. and if so do you know of any good websites with schematics?? thanks

how fast is a porch with a VW motor? Are they sketchy to sit on with the turbos?? I like early-model porches, the newer ones barely have room for a decent rocking chair.
