1983 Ford 460 stumble issue

Guys I have an 1983 C-class motorhome with a Ford 460 and I think a C-6 trans. The issue is that it stumbles and almost dies right as you start to accelerate. I am almost clueless when it comes to Ford carbs or anything Ford for that matter. I pulled the doghouse and removed the air cleaner to get a look at the carb and it seems to be a Q-jet, is that possible? I thought Q-jet was a GM thing. Motor has about 60K on it and runs strong except for the stumble.

I have done plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and cleaned the carb with some carb spray, and set the timing. I am leaning towards a weak accelerator pump, but I am guessing at that.

Suggestions? This beast may be getting used to pull a trail rig if I ever get around to finding a trailer.

Accelerator pump working? Open the throttle, and see if you get a decent squirt down the venturis.

Thats the problem,,,, the carb is located squarely below the firewall. Gotta love the van front end, I can barely get my airfilter out let alone my head in to look down the carb. haha
