1988 Toyota X-Cab

I've owned my truck for almost a year now, but I'm fairly new to the site. I thought I would post up and get some local opinions and support.
Owners Name & City- Jared, Logan Utah.

Make, Model & Year of Vehicle- 1988 Toyota Pickup xtra cab

Engine- 22re

Transmission- w56

T-Case- Gear driven top shift

Axles- Rear - Trucks original housing, Aussie locker, yukon 5.29's
Front - 1985 4runner axle with high steer and 5.29's

Suspension- 63" Chevy leafs out back, Toyota rears up front.

Wheels and Tires- 35" bfg mtrs on 15" aluminum wheels

Favorite Trails- Providence canyon, willard peak, little moab

I didn't know a lot about toyota's before owning this truck and when I first bought it I thought I had a decent platform. I guess it was a start but I want this rig to be very capable and not very problematic...
Here's a few pics of when I first bought it, and the very weak flex shot.

kinda off topic but my roommate just bought this steed.
I'll talk him into getting an account here and a thread on the truck! :D

Ah just curious. I was just in west valley yesterday picking up that runner. It's just cool to see what other people are building.

I made this nifty little tool to tighten my carrier bearings and get the back lash reading I want. I'm going to put the locked diff out back and freshen up the open one to put up front.

Well it was for the 4runner my buddy is working on, we found out his timing cover was cracked from the timing chain wearing through it. We ended up rebuilding his 22re since the head and block were both okay. So I've built two so far and neither are mine unfortunately.. it just keeps running haha.
But here's a few pics of the rebuild, it's done now and running nice and strong.

Another lame preview.. I swear next time I post up on my axle it'll have steering and be ready for some action.

I really have no idea what springs, I think they're allpro ones, they came on the truck and do a pretty good job so I haven't felt the need to run anything else. I'll keep that in mind though since I'm looking for some bilsteins in the near future.
