1988 Toyota X-Cab

I've owned my truck for almost a year now, but I'm fairly new to the site. I thought I would post up and get some local opinions and support.

I didn't know a lot about toyota's before owning this truck and when I first bought it I thought I had a decent platform. I guess it was a start but I want this rig to be very capable and not very problematic...
Here's a few pics of when I first bought it, and the very weak flex shot.

I've also (finally) started rebuilding my spare, non-cracked block. I put a reconditioned crankshaft in, pistons bored .050" over, and reconditioned connecting rods.

I got my cylinder head back from the machine shop. It got a full rebuild with an engnbldr camshaft, stainless steel ferrea valves. 3mm bigger exhast valves and 2mm bigger intakes. All I have left is to degree in my cam.

Nothing big, but I did spend some time this past weekend degreeing in the camshaft on the orange motor. I'm planning on swapping it in here in a couple weeks, I might even try and mount up a chevy alternator I have laying around for more amperage. Progress pics will come soon.

I got a little bit done today after work.
I had my wisdom teeth removed last weekend and took it easy. The main thing left to do is exhaust, and the last pic was more carnage.
