1993 Jeep Wrangler Sahara - Having Strange Steering Problems - please help!

I got a Wrangler YJ for my girlfriend and it is doing some really strange things. When you start from a stop and start moving the car wants to pull, when you hit a bump the play in the wheel is evident and when you shift or downshift the jeep wants to pull - its really annoying and I'm wondering what your suggestions would be or what I should look at first. I thought for sure the problem was caused by a bad tie rod, drag link. Those two parts are really sloppy - meaning I can grab a hold of the car and turn it freely with ease almost like twisting it up and down.

I don't know what to think it seems like its got to be something with the suspension or steering components, perhaps a gear box is bad, pump is shot, what could it be?

all help is highly appreciated!

So did you replace them?

On my CJ the steering box wasn't tight on the mount I would check the bolts holding on the steering gear. (Even a little loose is bad)

Fixed the rear track bar but still having problems

I'm thinking that whats going on is the front tie rods (one that comes off the pitman arm and the main one that goes from knuckle to knuckle are worn).

I am not sure but it seems like this might be the issues because when you have someone turn the car on and turn the steering wheel from side to side the lower main tie rod flips, almost shifts upside down. could these tie rods be done or could it be as simple as a steering stablizer?

This is really strange and I'm having a hard time getting to the root of the problem, any suggestions?
