2" lift options....

I am looking for a 2" suspension lift for Project BFT. I am currently looking at the Tuff Country lift and it has two different ways of lifting the rear. One is with an add a leaf and the other is with a two inch block. Which way should I go with this? Why? What is y'all opinion about it?

Well, I went ahead and ordered the suspension lift with the rear block. I guess if my trailers start to over run my rear suspension I will just add some air bags and be done with it. I am thinking about running a 255/80/17 tire and I think it will give me the look that I am after.

The only consideration I would give to doing add a leaf over blocks on this small of a lift would be if the blocks would cause more axle wrap over the add a leaf.

Does the Dodge have a block in the rear already? If so, is it stacking blocks? There is no way in heck I would stack blocks. If not. A 2" block will be fine.

I think there will be some more axle wrap with the block than there would have been with the add a leaf. My thoughts are that if axle wrap becomes a problem then I will address that later. I don't think I could handle the rear riding any rougher than it does already. Also, with the add a leaf the over load springs would not really be very useful. Greater distance between the leaf pack and the overload tabs.

Nope. No factory block on the 2010's. If I need to address axle wrap, load carrying capacity and the like these are all items that I can address with other aftermarket parts. I really did not want it to ride any rougher than it already does. It actually is very smooth but, I paid a lot of money to get that comfy ride. That is why I think I will be happy with just the small block for the rear.

Either way will be fine! The block will have a little more axle wrap but maintrthe same ride! The add a leaf might stiffin it up a little but it would have less axle wrap!
