I saw that. It will be interesting to see how it all works out in the real world. The rumors of it coming out have been rampant for the last few years, so you have to assume they have been testing it.......I just hope it does not turn out like the 4CS forks. I would give it a couple of years of real world testing before I would buy one.

Can you imagine the YZ250X, with E-start and EFI :D

Some day...

The jap companies will not put anything innovative into their 2 strokes. While the 250x is a capable off road bike, it s not innovative in any real way. It is the same old bullet proof 250 motor that they have been using forever with their great out of the box suspension and a WR transmission. I would dare say, that the 250x would be a major player if they would simply add the magic button and wiring for a head light. There is nothing wrong with something as proven as the Yamaha, and there is nothing right about half the crap KTM tries, it just one company is willing to innovate and the others are not.

Amen. A friend of mine just bought a new 6 Days 450 on Monday and has not ridden it yet. He thinks he made a mistake by not buying the Yamaha YZ450FX. He has always ridden Yamaha but has been off a bike for 10 years. I told him he didnt make a mistake and that even though Yamaha has made some changes, they will not do what they need to do to a bike that will make it a great enduro bike like my friend wants.

The problem will be ride ability around power valve openings. Either the power valve would need to be electonically controlled and tie into the fueling or the fueling will need to read powervalve position somehow (like vacuum perhaps).

I saw pics of the bike from the Horn of Africa race.
