2004 Silverado LT Crew Cab 4x4 Short bed with shell. NEW PRICE $13,250
"Luxury" version with heated leather seats, 5 CD changer, dual zone A/C and heat etc.

350,000 mile mark to be reached shortly. Runs strong, solid Allison automatic tranny.

We purchased the truck just over 2 years ago, with about 310k. Initial overhaul, as best I recall, involved brakes, tie-rods and u-joints (could be more things, ran about $5,000). Since that time has been a very reliable truck. Last summer we had some overheating issues when trailering the horses up long, slow dirt road inclines, but replaced fan clutch and thermostat and problem solved.

Passed safety inspection in January.

Decent tires, BFG All-Terrian T/As with 30-40% of life remaining.

Only issues I know of include:

1)Some body scratches/dings as would expect on an 11 year old truck with over 300k miles.
2)Shell is not water tight. I think it is because of the plastic bed liner that is in the truck prevents a good seal. So far have not cared enough about the problem to take off the shell and remove the bed liner to confirm that is the problem.
3) ABS sensor not working fully, causing check brakes light to come on periodically. Again, not an issue we have felt strongly enough about to have replaced.
4) Cracks in leather on drivers seat as shown in picture.

Has been an extremely reliable truck, but we figured now was a good time to try and replace it with one with fewer miles.
