It does, but you fared much better than this guy. He had to be towed out.

Thats what it looked like. The bar over my engine saved me. It looks like he ended up in the same spot as me. The cage folding on that other roll is scary. I am going to have my cage replaced sometime soon.

That's Vic's rig that rolled, his friend was driving, I talked with him the next day, luckily he was ok, he even said his belts weren't tight enough. He was ok enough to ride around my pitbike just fine ;)
1.5" DOM cage with plenty of cross bracing at the "B" pillar. It was definitely a hard roll. I agree that the rake on the B-pillar isn't the best. Surprisingly though, the cage wasn't too deformed, it had a lot of headroom to begin with, Vic is a big guy.

Looks like those Rebel Offroad guys rolled right where Wade's dad rolled last year, that's a nasty obstacle!

I'm uploading pics now!

Crawlfest- Hurricane, Utah

I pulled The Adamantium up at the 7am lineup for the 1st of three scheduled days of trails at the 3rd annual "Crawlfest" in Hurricane, UT today. We headed out on "The Maze" trail with Poison Spyder Customs, Petersen's 4 Wheel & Off-Road and KRAWLZone.tv. The trail was rated an 8, but two obstacles in I decided to made it look like a 10. A little too much gas and a lot of ego ended me upside down off a large step-up. My jeep is not so happy with it's driver right now. The radiator is shot. The gr8tops hardtop is destroyed. The hood is smashed in and the windshield is shatered. My Poison Spyder crusher flare took the first hit and definetely cushioned the blow. Lucky for me, my Rockhard roll cage did it's job, as I landed on my roof and walked away without a scratch. I can't say enough about the sturdy work done by Rebel Offroad, my friends at Poison Spyder and the extremely helpful crew here at Crawlfest that got me right side up and towed me back to the road. We came across some jeepers on the way back that currently have The Adamantium in their home garage. They swear they'll have it bandaged up enough to be back on the trail and wheeling in the morning. Driving it back home after this trip? We'll see how tomorrow goes first. The kind people in the state of Utah continue to amaze me with their generosity. Thanks to them, I can keep on Rockin'!

Doug in orem is a long-time family friend. I was hoping he was getting into rock crawling :(

He worked on my HP 5.0 rear engine buggy when I couldn't get it started. Very nice guy for sure. He showed me his collection and I drooled all over the GT. He brings it and his Cobras to the UVU Auto Expo every year. Great guy for sure.

Question for you Crawlfest and St George wheelers. What are some suggestions for challenging trails down there for a locked TJ on 35s, 100" wheelbase? I don't mind being challenged, in fact that's what I'm looking for, but I also don't want buggy trails.

I see they've added new trails and the only thing I've run down there are the buggy trails back when I had a buggy, and I don't want to run them.

Jon's Trail and the The Maze are right up your alley, Bart. You headed down in Feb.? I am if I can get all the ducks in a row with the Jeep transfer case.

I'd like to. I'm torn between that and a scooter ride to Arizona. I'm leaning toward the Jeep thing these days so we'll see. Thanks for the heads up on the trails.

If there's one thing Robero Flandero does right, it's wear a helmet even when he's recreational wheeling.. Most of the time anyways.

Great shots Marc. I trust that your wife returned to your Jeep?
I am not above wearing a helmet while driving.. I've knocked my self out more than once while wheeling...
