Me? No. I ended up helping people recover broken bikes until 8:30pm. Got back to camp just before dark. Really fun and rewarding. Just really hard work.

Let's say I have much more appreciation for what goes into planning and executing one of these races after seeing it first hand.
It is a major production. With somewhere like 400 racers Saturday: that is a lot of folks to organize.
After dealing with BLM permits only briefly with the U4WDA: I can only imagine the nightmare getting permits and the initial rough marking course with BLM approval must be (oh noes a bird nest: change your course).
