2017 hunting??

Well, because of a death in the family I never made it out on the deer hunt.

Need to enjoy it vicariously through those who did, so let's see some pics of your hunts (kills or just photos of being out and about).

We made it out the last two weekends south and east of Zion NP, right by Coral Pink and filled 7 tags I believe, the best (luckiest) shot was the 4 point 24" spread (just the rack) from 531 yds by my father in law. He was upset when it dropped as he said it wasn't big enough to deal with, " I didn't think I had a chance in hell of hitting it on the run." lol but now he'll tell you all about that shot haha. The other fun one to see was Easton's buck, that kid is a hunting animal. Didn't get pics of all the animals, but I was surprised with how many deer we saw in that area.

I had a terrible deer hunt but made up for it by scoring a bull elk on the any bull rifle hunt. Again this year I was lucky to have my oldest boy with me.

Nice bucks! Not an area I have put much thought into hunting but may have to!

I always go "hunting" with my brothers every year. They try to kill stuff and I just ride around in my jeep enjoying the outdoors, taking the kids for rides and such. This year my sister, brother-in-law and my 82 year old mother came out for one of the days. I took them for a ride to the top of one of the mountains east of the little town of Mayfield near Gunnison (UT).

No big game hunts for me this year. Have not been able to get out calling coyotes much either. But have got out a few times and had a little bit of luck.

I haven't been out hunting but my kids have. My son got a 2x4 on the muzzle loader hunt, my son in law got a tall 3x4 on the archery hunt, and my nephew got his first archery buck. I'll have to see if I can get pictures from the guys.
Dave, I know my friend who runs sheep all over the west desert in the winter is very glad you are out there taking care of the coyotes.

It's been a great fall so far! Missed some shots on the deer hunt but being out is what it is all about for me!
