Does anybody else find this a little ironic? I remember when OSRC was formed, the whole idea was to get away from the mainstream competitions and some of the newer regulations, etc that make them more intimidating for the average Joe to get into competing. Now WERock bought it out. If it remains a stand-alone similar event to OSRC, good on WERock.
This is not a complaint, as I have not attended an OSRC event for a few years so my opinion has no weight. It just stood out as funny that the "OLD SCHOOL" rock crawl is now owned by the "new school" guys.
People think that but to be honest OSRC has changed (from what I’ve heard, I started in ‘14). It has more strict rules and more competition than WERock- for the lower classes especially. Last I talked with Big Rich he doesn’t intend to change the rules, at least for now and it will likely remain separate from the WERock series in perpetuity.
I’m just excited that the event will continue. I think if everybody adopts that attitude we will have an amazing event like we’re used to.
