21 road and Billings

Recently I asked Greg if he would show me around some of the Co good stuff this spring. He graciously accepted (and volunteered other locals whom might be interested) to show some us around. It’s just me and my son (maybe two jeeps if he gets his back together) at this time.

I’m thinking sometime between may 9th and may 15th (dates that work for Greg). We might as well plan a stop by Moab on the way back. I need to rely on the locals for time schedules, but I personally could take the whole time frame above off. I’m also flexible to go down closer to Friday (may 4th) and extend some moab stuff any amount of days into the next week.

I’m assuming maybe a cheap hotel stay in Co, and maybe just rough it in a sleeping bag somewhere in Moab?

Anyone interested in hooking up for this?

Hmmmm. We might be interested. Haven't seen that rascally Greg in a while. Plus I know of this great B and B in Fruita....:p

Suggest some dates that work for you.

How far are you from Fruita anyway? Looking forward to doing some high Co mountain stuff with you guys also, later in the summer!

It's really up in the air for us. Our work is just starting again for the year so we have work up to our eyeballs which is a blessing, but I don't know if that bodes well for our wheeling career. Badbuggy lives in Fruita as well and he loves Billings and 21 Road so I'm sure he'd be up for some fun. We'll have to play it by ear and see how the next few weeks unfold.

We're about 4 1/2 hours from Fruita, so it's not a terrible drive although 3 brutally high passes are a bit difficult for the old tow rig without an exhaust brake! Definitely keep us posted on your trip to the mountains, we would love to hook up.

Understood on the work. I did not realize you were that far away. As for mountains ... you pick the trip/date and I'll be there

I've done Billings and 21rd too, I'm in GJ part-time and live in Minturn so I'm close (20min) to Holy Cross, Let me know if you'd like to run Holy Cross and I can get some guys together. It's usually first tracks to the city the end of May and no snow the 2nd or 3rd week in June. Can go until the last weekend of Oct. I might be able to do a Billings/21rd run that week in May. Keep us posted on dates.

Just let me know what dates I'll be there. 21 Road & Billings Canyon make for a great weekend. Perhaps I can twist BadBuggys arm into coming too... (it's not that hard to talk him into day or 2 of wheelin :D )

Cool, I was about to write you today about this ... even if no one else is interested, I'd still like to come if you are willing to go, even if it's just the two of us.

I'm totally open during your off time ... you call it and I'll be there.
