Pro Machine seems to have a good reputation, but I've never dealt with them personally yet.

Seem to be a great shop have nothing but good to say about them so far. I'll be picking mine up hopefully in a couple of days. Blaze

I recommend South Valley Machine (talk to Kurt). I've got my 22re rebuilt there. Bored 1 over, new pistons, oil pump, all accessories, all gaskets needed to put the engine together, timing components (all), crank polished, hot tanked, etc. etc.

He charged $484 for the above. Decided to do the head as well, and he charged $120 for cleaning, grinding, and ensuring the head was within specs.

I bought my chain tensioner from Toyota direct so it was more for me, even though the kit he provides has one (I've been told the after market ones fail soon). I also ordered steel timing guides as well as a Pro Cam from LC Engineering.

If you don't want to do anything yourself, I believe his long blocks (ready to drop in) are $1200.

Anyway, mine sounds and runs great, I'm just about to get to 3K on it.

562-5193 is their number.

I've also not dealt with PRO Machine, but hear they're good. All I can give you advice on is the shop that I've dealt with.

Good luck. ;)
