I have a spare V6 carrier if you ruin that one and want to go back to open, or Lockright, etc.

The hard part about welding that carrier is that it's a two-piece, bolt-together deal, so you don't have the access to the side/spider gears for welding like you would with a 4cyl carrier.

I was going to but I don't know if I want to spend the money on it now when I can just weld it.... IDK I'm stuck in the airport and prob sleeping here so I'll do a little online shopping, maybe I'll see if I can find someone's pre-welded one for cheap?

Personally I would't trust most ppl's weld's so a pre welded one wouldn't be on my list of things to buy. Just sayin:D Unless its someone you know and trust and cheap as hell.

had one welded professionally... broke. I welded one... broke. seriously a spool is what less than 200 bucks, I NEVER have to worry about my spool breaking now, it is the MOST RELIABLE locker out there. other weak points will break before the spool will. one of the best upgrades i ever made on my pickup.

and they were probably welded with something bigger than a 110 volt welder, i would guess.

spools are real cheap, I never worry about breaking mine. but they are annoying sometimes, if you drive on the road at all.
