Does anyone have knowledge about the street legality of mulit point style harnesses? The safety inspection manual (yes I have it in PDF) doesnt mention one way or the other....

If the safety inspection manual doesn't mention it then there is no reason to be concerned about installing upgraded safety restraints.

On mine I have tabs welded to the cage with bolts through them to attach the harnesses. That's pretty typical. Welding a tube through your roll bar will definately work, but I would run a bolt through it, with a nut on the end, rather than tapping the tube itself.sjbrownie4x4 said:OK, So I have a custom roll cage and wether I go 3 pt stock or upgrade, I need to make attachements for the belt into the cage. Any suggestions for the best methods?
At this point I will be turning and tapping a steel tube, drilling a hole clean through the roll bar and then welding on both sides. Any thoughts?
If you don't have your seats mounted to the cage then stick with the stock belts. If on the other hand your seats are mounted to the cage then you don't need tabs. They make 5 points that loop around the tubing. This is what we have in ours.sjbrownie4x4 said:OK, So I have a custom roll cage and wether I go 3 pt stock or upgrade, I need to make attachements for the belt into the cage.
