I smoked my system and the Evap canister (charcoal canister) vent just let the smoke billow out. I was told the system should be sealed with my jeep off and motor cold. I attached the smoke machine to the service port under the hood.

Do I need to replace the LDP valve? How can I test it?

I also plugged that vent tube and continued testing and didn't find anything else an I'm throwing a gross leak code.

I talked my dad into taking his KJ on Hell's Revenge... It was a lot of fun trying to get it through the trail. I managed to get him through including all the tore up steps at the end, without a scratch :thumbs:

I'm still struggling to get this EVAP Leak code to go away. I think i'm going to replace the EVAP Purge solenoid this week. So far I have smoked the system, dropped the gas tank again and made sure everything was tight and no hoses looked bad. I have replaced one hose under the hood and have a new MOPAR Gas cap. I can't find this darn leak so I'm hoping it the purge solenoid. ha ha :crosses fingers:

I also had a side wall slow leak on one of my tires on the way to moab. the shop had to remove it from the rim to find the spot and put a large patch in the inside. Hope it holds for a little while. Looks like these tires are about done ha ha

Yeah I am stoked!

They are the Level 8 Strike 5 wheels. they also come in silver and black with a silver lip. I got them for about 60% off because they had been installed onto the tire shop managers jeep and after a day or two he decided they were to black.. so he took them off. They have been in display at the store and I snagged them for $50 a wheel :tara:

I want to put the tires on my jeep now but I have had a feeling my front axle is bent since I bought the jeep. I haven't measured anything tho.
I am having a new front D44 built in the next two weeks with a Detroit. I also ordered a rear Detroit and 4.88 gears front and rear (i have 4.56). So I'm going to get the axle work done and the jeep aligned then Ill put the new tires on I can't wait...

Parts arrived
Built new front rubi D44 with Detroit, 4.88, chromoly shafts, polyperformance ball joints, Teraflex Diff Cover.

4.88 gears/master rebuild kit and Detroit for my rear d44

I also installed new 2nd gen ORO LiteDots..

Some updates:

I installed my front D44 (new D44 housing/Detroit/Sierra 4.88 gears,install kit and Chromoly Shafts/Polyperformance ball joints/Teraflex Diff Cover)

then I put on the new 37" Kevlars and wheels.. Man what a difference!

Then this last Saturday I decided to do my own gears with the help of some friends. I Installed my rear Detroit with Sierra 4.88 gears and install kit. It was a great learning process and we got everything within spec. Jeep drives sooo much better without my failing Spartan locker and with the lower gegears.

now I just need to go get my front driveshaft shortened and get an alignment.

Oh I also traded a member of my jeep club jeep doors.

My full doors (which were extremely bent and did not seal)
for his good condition half doors. It's a darker red but I plan on painting them to match once it's warm enough outside...

Do the new doors seal? I tried buying 3 new sets of doors to get something to seal but everything was the same when I tried them on so I never got any. Awesome for you if you got a set to work.

Did you ever switch out door surrounds?

I still have the same door surrounds and everything. And these seal perfect. No issues. I'll have to take a good pic of it.
