I would assume your pump is bad or just noisy....
If it bothers then replace I've used many of them and mine are all quite and only had one stop sucking enough and it had to do with contamination to the pump we think...
I'll get another back up again real soon .......Get me.......

Cody- Does your pump sit below the lowest point of your gas tank? If not, it could be working harder than it has to.

Okay, I've got to do this same thing so what do I need to look for? Close to the tank, as low as possible, approved filters, anything else?

Proper pump, good venting and return line is proper

Put it in the tank and save yourself the headache.....MY .02
That's kinda my thinking. Everyone and their dog wants them outside the tank, but inside, they stay cool and clean. And they are much cheaper to buy.

Wow thanks for all the replies. So lemme get this straight.

I need this E2000 fuel pump, a regulator, a high flow fuel filter, and this setup should be mounted close to the tank itself. That should get me fuel to the front.

Anyone else have any luck with the in tank pumps? I used an in tank pump on my Chevy TPI swap and its been real good to me. No idea how much pressure the TPI pumps make.

your injection should have its own built in regulator.
