LOVE the crossmember. Curious how it works out for you. That's got to be a reasonably strong piece of steel.

I'll let you know how it pans out. It's basically a small I-beam with holes in it so I expect it to be plenty strong. I used a couple pieces of rectangular conveyor belt and cut them to fit between the channels on the top side of the cross member, this should give some shock absorption too the setup.
