5.13's or 5.38's

what are you thoughts. i have a dana 44 and a 14 bolt will be running 37's.

.pretty much i have heard that the 5.38's are not as strong..true not true?

also it seems to be near impossible to get 5.38's....any one know of a place to get some?

running 37s I would just run 5.13s. I have 5.38s but Im running 42s. Yukon is the only company that I could find that makes a 5.38 for the 14 bolt.

Check with Wayne Hartwig, if it's available he will get it for you. He will also tell you what his lead times are, very honest and helpful. He spent a good hour with me to make sure he got me the right stuff for my axle.

checked with him and he is really nice and will do business with him for sure..unfortunatly he said the 5.38's are on back order till june or august so looks like i might be doing 5.13's another thing i have to keep in mind is in the future i will be running 39's so... also i am going to have to use a lot more gearing than your typical buggy cuz i am running a honda motor transaxle..

with 5.13's my crawl ratio........ 58.53:1

with 5.38's my crawl ratio........61.38:1

both pretty good... i just need to get going either way i am cramming hard for jeep safari....

and just curious..but what are some of your guys crawle ratios..more importantly you guys with autos?
