5 mile pass trails?

Do a search in the "upcoming wheelin' trips" forum

I gues I should have been more specific. I was hoping for either a guide book you could recomend or a website that actually listed several of the trails and had ratings for the trails and what not.

This website is going to be your best resource I'd say. Others will soon chime in... I'm guessing you've heard of Rattlesnake and Constrictor? 5 mile pass is fun to just go out there and explore all the trails out there.

I hope for are sake there never is a book for that area. I like the fact that its a little obscure out there. If that makes any sence.....
If you really want to learn the trail system go out and explore or talk to some of the guys on the board.

i was up there this weekend on my dirt bikes, and i cant beleive how big the area is. we made it up to the mine that has the blazer in it and played around in that area for a little bit, we problebly didnt even realy get to see to much because the area is huge, so we are heading out again this weekend :D

I live right ther ein Eagle Mountain so I have spent a lot of time out there just driving around. Never really knowing if I was on a real trail or not. After going to moab I would like to be a bit more serious there at five mile. Hoping to do a trail once in a while when I bored after work in the evening. It would be nice to know of some of the trails and actaully have a goal in mind out there.

So... say you're a newbie, and don't know anyone on the board that you're specifically supposed to talk to... what do you do?

I think that's the point of this thread being here, and none of you are being very helpful. Nice hospitality.

WOW, all he has to do is hop on one of the many trial runs out there every month and he'll know it. Not a big deal, this is how guys do things

For me 5 mile pass is a big playground. Just go any which way you want. Eventually you'll put various routes together to make your own favorite trails.

I think the lack of the use of the search botton provokes such reactions.

the problem with searching is that while it can be useful, maybe the last time the information you searched for was discussed a year ago. things can change in that time, like trails being closed, or maybe new people have joined and different information or ideas can be available.

that's what bugs me about pirate. someone has a legitimate question, and maybe one person has some input... a few months later someone new found out something that worked better or has, and when the question is asked again, a new answer can be given.

so, does anyone have any current input? like anyone planning on doing some trails out there that caverspencer can join?

I agree about your Pirate4x4 sentiments. I hate that, too. Honestly, I don't really see that happening here. Spencer said he wants a guide book or a web site that lists specific trails out there and describes them. I don't think anyone knows of either of those things. Sorry. Rattle Snake, and Constrictor are the only established official trails I know of out there and I don't know of any books or web sites that describe them.

And I do agree that things do change. I also believe that one could do some home work prior to a question, making one apear that they have at least Tried to figure it out for themselves. There are Many here that whould not hesitate to show someone around.

The problem here is, if one person disses someones post, others jump on the ban wagon.

And I'm as guilty as the next.
