5 mile pass trails?

Sorry. Rattle Snake, and Constrictor are the only established official trails I know of out there and I don't know of any books or web sites that describe them.

Both Rattle Snake and The Con were found by exploring. I'm sure there are more we just need to find them. I know of about 2 other potentials.

For me 5 mile pass is a big playground. Just go any which way you want. Eventually you'll put various routes together to make your own favorite trails.

sounds like I am already on the right path then...

do you guys prefer the north side of the highway or the south side by thorpe hills

ok then, on the south side of the road a few miles south of the highway is a road that goes up and over thorpe hills. I came to, o maybe a 4' ledge/step whatever you want to call it. I did not even dare to try it at the time. I did not even drive up to it to see if I could do it. However I think my approach and exit angles are both good enough to try it. My question is, has anyone done this trail. If that is the only obstacle there wont be much fun in it. Hopefully there is more.

Most of my exporing has been south of the highway in thorpe hills, I imgine most of the trails that you guys actually have names for are on the Norht side of the road.

To me lose paint and fun is an oxymoron. If it is at all possibile to get through without damage even if damage is likely but not inevitable you know I am game, and that is fun.

Charlies Trail ;)
I wasn't going to bring it up, but now that the name has been uttered... Is it legal, or not? Kindof a fun little trail. Not as fun as Constrictor, but you can only do the same trail so many times before it gets boring...

I can hear you there. Of course I am in a stock montero sport as well.

It is impresses me more to see someone skillfully drive over stuff in something like a little sammi then see someone bounce over it a huge lifted jeep, whats the point of that?

Maybe this is not the place to chat about this.... but I have heard... ya.

Is the Ch trail easier than Con harder, just not as long, just different, what where ect. Dont answer the last two questions.

There are trails all through the hills. You can go from five mile pass all the way around to above Stockton. The area is full of mines. There are a lot of steep, narrow, and off camber mining roads up there. Over 10,000 foot elevation at some of the peaks, and spectacular views.
