IMO, its going to be a challenging race this year, with 2 passes over the winding, narrow mountain roads and the race course running up thru Matomi wash, which is full of massive boulders and deep, loose sand. The 4WD vehicles are going to have a huge advantage!

Who else from Utah is racing? I know Dustin Miller & Brandon Dawson are racing a UTV this year. Last pic of their car had the number 1869 on it, so I assume that will be their Baja number.

We ran Matomí wash yesterday in our Cruisers. It’s definitely gonna wreck some smaller race vehicles particularly as the big trucks chew it up and make the holes deeper.

its been several years, but the thing I remember about riding a bike down there on some of the course was the sand didn't seem like sand - more like powder with big rocks hidden underneath. I can't imagine riding in that stuff in a race.

Whew! Over 39 hours later @canguroracing finished 1st in class at the 2020 @scoreinternational Baja 1000. It was an absolute battle, the roughest and most technical B1K course we have seen to date. 898 miles of grueling whoops, silt, rocks and dust. We had a few stucks, a couple of minor mechanical repairs but overall a great race. We simply couldn’t have done this without the amazing support of our chase teams and web chasers. They all stayed awake for a few days straight and drove thousands of miles to tackle any job needed.
