Couple things to keep in mind. You know how bad Ferds are steering wise, right? Imagine being a foot and a half longer than you are now, and a couple feet wider. Good luck at that drive through.......

My last oil burner was that truck, except the super cab version. I don't miss it a bit.

The coil sprung fords turn WAY better than the leaf sprung. The 6.0s are coil sprung. I would bet that the long bed dually would turn sharper than the shortbed 7.3

That is what sold me on my Cummins tho. It turns so dang sharp I cant hardly believe it! My 02 Superduty was rediculas to turn

6.0's are not coil sprung. At least my 04 is not.

I think the Super Duty went to coil springs in '05? Possibly '06. The Excursions stayed leaf, though. The coil sprung trucks do turn MUCH better than the leaf sprung trucks but I've heard of some "death wobble" issues with the radius arm setup. I am pretty used to not being able to turn after driving my truck for the past four years.

Of all the trucks to stay away from it's the 03 6.0. My friend had one that Ford couldn't get the computer to work properly on so he traded it for an 04 and well the 04 is better but not by much, he's a die hard Ford guy. The new Diesels are way to expensive to operate anymore, if I had to have a new truck today it would be a used/new Ford crewcab v10 with a 6spd.

Nice rig! Welcome to the club. My wife had to drive mine today while I fixed her minivan...hated it (as usual).

How high you gonna lift it???

See picture above. I'm going for that with some 40" MTRs that are currently sitting under my Jeep item. :D
