I am not sure if a Dana 60 is any stronger than a Ford 9"... I think it might be the other waya round. The pinion gear for a Ford 9" is larger, as are the bearings, and main bearing caps. The ring gear in a Ford 9 isn't are big around, but it is thicker, and wider than the Dana 60.

If I were to upgrade my front end, I would probably go with Sunray's 609 axle. ford 9" pumpkin, and dana 60 outers. With Sunray's ubolted knuckles. PRetty beefy axles. I have seen on in person, compared to a Dana 60, and the competitors 9" front end, and there IS no comparison. The Sunray 609 kicks some major booty
As for rear ends, I'd probably go Ford 9" or Dana 60. Either axle is pretty beefy.
