65 buick ten bolt?

k so my buddy has a 65 Buick special he trashed one of his rear axle shafts he was told it is a ten bolt with a 8.5 ring gear 28 spline non c clip anyone know where i could find him one......... i have not looked at it but the shop he had it at told him they cannot get him a shaft.......

I'm sure that shouldn't be hard to find. They only used that rear end under a LOT of cars. Check your favorite axleshaft mfg. They should have what you need.

I can't remember if the 64-67 cars are the same width as the 68-72 cars (and I think they are the same as the '73-'77 cars?) I used to know all that crap, but now I just remember torque/hp figures for premier engines of the era.
