6th Gen 4Runner

I was going to leave a pass at will call, if you had any interest in a .50 tour of the NHRA Ford Nationals out at The Strip, and get a close-up look of a TF/D, and hang in the hospitality area, maybe go up to the line. TV does not do them justice.

Anyway, I look forward to your impression of the 6th gen 4Runner.

That would have been rad!!! Appreciate you thinking of me.

One word keeps coming to mind when viewing this: Cheap

I see cost-cutting everywhere, but I doubt it will actually be cheaper to buy. Unless it is far more impressive in-person, count me as disappointed. I am glad to have a low-mile 5th gen.

I'm excited to get to go drive the new 6th Gen soon

So now that you've driven one, and can talk about it, what do you think? The noise of the 4 cylinder in Tacomas and LC250s is not exactly refined sounding, which is a turn-off for me. Hopefully the 4Runner is okay in that regard.

But what I really want to know is if they did anything to strengthen the top hat where the front coilovers mount. We know the Tacoma with it's redesigned bumpstop could send the jolt of a minor speedbump through the shock into the cast Aluminum top hat breaking it, leaving the vehicle stranded until it could be fixed. Less than ideal on some desolate trail.
