Budget cuts were forced down their throats, and they threatened closing our only ORV park from Dec 1 through Mar/April.

A bunch of us called and 'compalined'. I talked to the supervisor and said that local business' would sponsor the park if needed if they would get us a dollar amount to keep it open. Another met with the supervisor's boss and hassed it all out and the threat was raised.

Sunday was going to be a rally, but we ended up only using it to say thanks and show support for keeping it open. We had news crews there, ads in newspapers, dozens of business' posted flyers, etc..etc.. All in all about 400 people showed! After the rally, we all went out and played...

Enjoy!!

major splash when I hit the mud hole... Which killed my motor and busted 6? blades off my electric fan. Finally got it started and drove out.

All in all it was a good day for carnage...

blown motor - too many rev limiter hill climbs (Jeep 4.0L)

My motor is acting up - no oil pressure at idle. I'll pull the pan next week and see WTF...

several busted shafts. One in a brand new CTD while trying to pull someone out of the mud hole I went through above. Others were around in the rocks and hill climbs.

busted colar bone - some idiot on a bike was doing a wheelie, hit a bump and dumped it.

Couple windows in the white XJ with the exo.. Oh, and doors, too :D

The last picture of the Toyota truggy has Bobby Longs in it, but that doesn't make the trunnion's stronger - he busted one when he rolled in that picture.

Is that it? I'll get more pictures as others post them...

Cool photos! Looks like a lot of fun. How cold was it?

LT.

During the day it was actually pretty nice - 40's? After the sun started going down around 4, it got considerably colder. Some of the water holes had ice on them all day, even though they were in the sun.

Wayne, Wayne, Wayne... You inspire the Zion in me. This is the place :D

So was the dude pissed they busted his windshield?

lol The place isn't all that bad, if you like steep, loose hill climbs. The pictures don't do the steepness any justice... Otherwise, it's 2wd all over. After a good rain or snow, it's a blast for a few hours. It's definately no Moab, but it's all we have close by :(

The popular thing is to get a run at it and jump off Suicide Hill (it's called) and jump all the way to the bottom.. The hill is probably 100 foot tall and about a 45* slope  I've seen dirt bikes do it...:ugh:

There was a red Explorer that said he was goign to do it, but nobody ever saw him do it - chickened out I guess ;)

Your supposed to look away. Your not supposed to watch a jeep get taken advantage of by a buggy;) Awesome pics wayne:cool:

Oh, that 'poor' white XJ? He normally doesn't have doors on it. It has a D60/14bolt and hummer wheels. The way he drives it, I'm acutally surprised it's still together and looks as clean as it does. We have a lot of XJ's up here, and I know he buys new parts when they are damaged.... ie doors.

It's never a dull moment with this group of guys ;)
