78 Land Cruiser question

I'm not a toyota guy, so I don't know much about landcruisers, but I have a brother in law that is looking at buying one. I haven't seen it and don't know Landcruiser designations, but it is a 78. It is the style that is similar to a CJ with the removeable top. The only obvious work that has been done is a lift and the body appears to be in good shape.

Is there anything he should specifically look for with this vehicle? Are there any regular/reoccuring problems? What are the stock axles like strength wise? etc. Is $4500 a decent price for a good body/frame, a running engine, and a lift?

Thanks

FJ40
Disc brakes (stout diffs)
NO power steering (unless added)
4 speed Trans (very stout)
4 speed T/C last (stout)
Ambulance doors in back
Need more? ask?

Usual problems... RUST... Look for it in the usual (and sometimes hidden spots)

Under the front doors, along the rocker panel, the rear seal (under the back doors), in the wheelwells (sometimes seen from the inside, floorboard... Rust gets hard and expensive to fix...
