I'm looking to find a steel 8inch diameter pipe cap so I can cut it in half and weld to the front of my zuk diff for a pumpkin cap...went to lowes today and they had never heard of a steel 8" pipe cap before...I'm seeing guys on the net doing this, but they are all out of state...anyone that has made their own pumpkin caps know wher I can get one?

Lowes or Home Depot dont deal with anything near that wize...I have never heard of this but you may be refering to trhe allpro offroad diff protection...I would try and steel place like wasatch that deals in pipe...8" is gonna be pricey though...

I just checked wasatch steel website and they have listed upto 6" pipe so they may be able to get 8" stuff in...give them a call and see:D

send a PM to stud boy, he bought mine for me and he will know exactly where to go. Check plumbing pipe supply places.

hmm, I dont see a stud boy in the listings...maybe i'm just blind or maybe you are just staying up waaaaay too late again spence :) some guys on pirate were saying they got theirs from oklahoma for like $11.00 for the cap...much cheaper than ordering from trail tough or petroworks when i really could do it easily myself *IF* i could find the darn pipecap...as far as I know you just need to cut the cap in half, vshap cut in the top so you can access the fill plug an a nice little notch in the bottom to let water drain out and then weld a few short beads down each side and it should fit perfectly on a sammy diff...easier and cheaper than paying the $70+ for someone to do this for me. I have all day off tommarow (the 8th) so somone give me a heads up quick! :)
