I picked up some wire to relocate the battery, and a 6 fuse panel to run my accessories. I am still looking for a 05' Tacoma hood if anyone has a damaged one they want to get ride of.

I just threw the mounts on quick and never adjusted them. I have never built a 4link so really don't know where they need to go. I know that the upper mounts on the frame side have to be higher. I think the closer to parallel the upper and lower links are the better.

I see either way that program is awesome and I look forward to seeing it come to life

I picked up some more parts from Midnight4x4. Some shock tabs and some bushings. I am looking for some 51" Toyota rear springs if anyone has some they want to sale.

I was playing around and built a tire in AutoCAD inventor. I was going for a quick through together Creepy Crawler.

Rather than creating your own tire, Why dont you take a picture of a real creepy crawler and import that and just build geometry off it that way (Depending on what software you have access to)

I think I am going to do something like this with more supporting tube. I have to figure out how I am going to support my radiator. I think I am going to remove the rest of the core support, and build some tabs into the chassis.

Just some friendly comments to think about: I believe the original design was ok, but the butt welds broke because the front was not supported very well and that compromised the integrity of the whole font end. I would have braced the hood tube to the truck fame at least three times moving fwd from the cowl to the stinger. I would also do a single bar on an angle to form a triangle in front of the door to the hood bar. I would also not sure steel plate or aftermarket winch mounts to tie the cage into the front stinger, make sure you solid mount all of the cage directly to the frame add additional cross member's between frame rails as needed... we all know Toyotas are strong, but a stock fame is only so good on the front end without proper cross member's or bumpers tying the rails together.

Also, make sure everything is completely welded, looks to me like the winch mount was not fully installed because there was no winch in there at the time... maybe a future mod, TBD, WIP... but it took the brunt of the blow for the entire front cage and didn't come close to standing up to the task.

Furthermore I'm not sure I understand the way you have an horizontal V tying the cage into the lower windshield bar on your new design. I would def use a single tube and get the down bars in there to the frame... also do an angled bar to the front of the door to make the triangle in front of the door.

I built these quick in like 5 min. I am using inventor 2013, and building them from scratch just seemed fun.

Looks good!
From personal experience, I would recommend side impact bracing as shown in red... when you roll to the side you would like to eliminate the the long length of the tube from front of the cab to the hoop behind your head without any side bracing. This is done pretty easily after installing your seats and finding the best locations that will be least intruding into the cab space. Also, from what I know adding the Aluminum or Metal sheeting to the top to form a roof is a REALLY good way to finish of the integrity of the your new build as well.

I am finally starting my buggy, I went wheeling after Christmas with Riley and he motivated my to get off my ass and put my buggy back together. I took it out to American Fork on Saturday and started chopping it apart.

Moving quick, looks like you'll have it done in no time. Are you planning on doing a 4 link as well or mainly fixing the cage due to the flop?

I am just doing the cage for now, but i am always looking for a 60 for the front of my buggy. When I find one afordable enough for me the 4link will happen. If you know anyone that will trade my built axles for a chevy 60 I am all ears.
