Orem UT,
After rolling my last Toyota twice, me once and my girlfriend 3 times i figured it had seen its better days wheelin. I brought it back to the shop and started dissembling it. I saved the Trail Gear 5" front and rear springs, dual t-cases, w-56 manual trans, 14 bolt rear. I got rid of the 22r, and dana 44 front.

After alot of thought and research i decided on the 1jz, 2.5 liter twin turbo Supra engine. This engine should pack a punch with 285 hp @ 7500 rpms. I found one on ksl for 1500 bucks with the complete engine and harness with an r154 manual trans. I sold the trans and bellhousing on ebay for 900 bucks. After alot of time on the computer i found that the Lexus ls 300 had a 2jz and a w-58 trans. This bell housing will bolt my 1jz to my w-56 trans. I picked one up form a guy that happened to have a stage 3 full faced clutch that is rated for 650 hp all for 350 bucks shipped. This way i can still run my gear driven Toyota t-cases.

Specs
1986 4 runner lengthened to a 114" wheel base

Still left to do

Im probably going to have to put a track bar on this setup to keep the axle from walking back and forth on me.

I had to extend the bottom of the frame back because i stretched the back 6 inches

A flat belly was achieved by using inchworms mounting plate and summits poly mounts. Because its such a long distance from my motor mounts the the back mount I'll be putting another one behind the bell housing

The new body panal sitting on there moved back 8 inches

I want to know what you think, any tips pointers are greatly appreciated

LOL I had to double check your username. My brothers truck looks a lot like your 4runner. It's red with full widths and it's been rolled also :D

Looks good anyway. Those are some very impressive motors

Awesome, I just sold a 2JZ-GTE and I seriously thought about throwing it in the truck! The best part about this swap is that you will be able to drive as fast as you would like on the freeway, but you dont have the snappy axle breaking low end like V8's have.

PS I have a T04R turbo for sale if you are interested!

Orem UT,
sounds like a cool drivetrain, but why is it so high?

Im thinking the suspension will settle an inch or two with the added weight of the body and six cylinder. This build is still in the early stages, I may have to drop the cases a little depending on driveline angles.
