93 4dr sidekick for a 92 4dr cherokee

Now although it wouldnt get use by going through water and such but would a snorkel add alittle to the mpg? I think sixstringsteve said it might have added a tiny bit to his truck. Reason I ask is I can get one for free from a family member that has had one laying around for some time.

Personally, no, I wouldn't put a snorkel on.

Couldnt get the snow off today for better pics but here are some of the cherokee im debating on trading for. I dint realize that it had 31's on it so since they are bald and its needing new ones I think if I get it ill try and find some 30" Faulken Rocky Mountain ATS tires.

Before all this I do need to research the 4.0 motor and trans that came in these 92 cherokee loredo models and assess what needs to be done to get it running in tiptop shape.

That's an awesome powertrain in that rig (HO 4.0L and AW4 trans). Reliable as a brick. D35 is questionable if you lock it up, but should serve you fine without heavy use. Snag an XJ D44 from Dave for $400 and you've got a great little rig.

X2 on what mbryson said. I don't think you can get more 4x4 bang from the buck than an XJ.

hence the reason why I see so many on the road still I guess. I like the fact that this one doesnt look abused at all and it fairly clean minus a couple tiny surface rust spots. I dont really get out and wheel like most of you because I dont want to and cant afford for my dd to be down for very long to replace parts and such so I think this would be perfect to just add some minor protective parts like skids and maybe a front bumper to start out with mod wise and be good for some time until I can afford to have it as strictly a wheeler.

My 92 Laredo had the Chrysler 8.25 rear axle in it. So it supposedly was as strong as a Dana 44.
