93 TJ 4.0 in a 2000 XJ ?

I blew up my 2000 XJ motor and need to swap in another motor. I found a 93 YJ 4.0 HO complete minus the head. Is the block the same ? Other then swapping around brackets and what not it should work right ? And once I install the 2000 Intake on it the computer shouldn't know the difference ? Am I missing anything ?

There are internal differences in the block but everything should bolt up. In 99 they strengthened the 4.0 blocks. Your 2000 does use a different head than the older ones did so you would need to find a head that matches the one in your rig now. The main difference is the size of valves and the mounting points for the coil rail. You would also have top swap the distributor.
