I've got a '99 f-150 with the 4.6. ya, ya, I know that this engine is pretty much crappy but it's there, and i'm not paying to put the 5.4 in. SO, it has dual exhaust, k&n cold air intake, and a throttle body spacer already. Any other suggestions? Does anyone know if you can chip these or get a tuner for more power? any suggestions besides "scrap the 4.6 and put in a better motor" would be appreciated. thanks

You really need to decide if it's worth it or not. There's no cheap option, and you're still going to end up with a crappy 4.6 when you're done. Sometimes you just out grow your rig, and have to bite the bullet and move along. I'm not saying go grab an 07 Cummins, but there are a lot better options out there for the same price as what yours is worth.

what's sbc? I know that it'll never be the 5.0 that's in my 'runner but i'd just like it to have a little more juevos. If it can't have it, oh well. I'd sell it but it's just so pretty. 8" lift on 36's, d60 with a detriot in rear and lockrite or something in the front, 4:88's. I towed my 'runner on a flatbed trailer down to delta and it did pretty decent besides 8 mpg.

There is a super tuner for your engine that will get you a bit more but not much... I would recommend the Edge one... it might be abit more in price but you get a nice package that mounts up in your cab and allows you to change it to 4 different setting as you need to... and Up to 25HP Gains/ 50 ft. lbs Torque Gains

is what they advertise... they sell on www.truckperformance.com for $404.50
