A little about this newbie..

Hi everyone, I guess I'm somewhat of a newbie so let me tell you about me. Well my name is Kelsey, I own a 1984 toyota pickup that my dad bought me when I was 14, at age 8 he told me it was time to start thinking about what kind of truck I wanted to build.. I was 8... So after some research I decided I wanted a solid axle toyota pickup x-tra cab. After we finally found exactly what I was looking for (and I got my permit) I drove it around for a few weeks then it spun a bearing. So we pulled the motor out, my dad handed me a ratchet and a metric socket set and said "ok go"... I learned quick and fell completely in love.. In 2007 I lost my dad and my truck sat in my backyard for 2+ years because I lost all motivation. Well now after some umph from my uncles and my dad's best friends I have started the project again.. here are some pics...

Before (this was 2 weeks after my dad passed so I wasn't up for this wheelin' trip, that's why I'm not driving)

Welcome to RME and thanks for posting up the info! It's always good to know a little more about the newer members.

The Toyota looks good, keep up the work... sounds like you have some good memories with it and many more to come.

Thanks guys... good to have support, I stopped to get something quick to eat last week after working on my junk and these two guys sat and talked crap about how greasy and dirty I was. They were purposely talking loud enough for me to hear and kept saying something about a shower.. ha ha, oh well I guess some people just can't wrap their minds around the fact that a GIRL might know more about vehicles than they do.. as they walked out and got into their Eclipse... lol
